Teen Songstress Lizzie Sider Becomes a Leading Lady with GWEN Global Women’s Empowerment Network
Lizzie Sider becomes an advocate of empowerment with the Global Women’s Empowerment Network sharing her personal story of encouragement with their community. This Blue Steel Records recording artist knows firsthand the impact of heckling on school grounds, but, with the support of her family, channeled that frustration into writing what became her breakthrough single Butterfly.
“Lizzie is a role model for all people around the world, as she has the courage to take a stand,” says Tess Cacciatore, GWEN Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. “The story behind her song Butterfly shows the arc of her experience of being teased and humiliated by her fellow classmates, while in the early years of grade school. We are so very proud of her and will watch in amazement as her story inspires others and her career takes flight.”
Penned by Lizzie, 2x #1 singer/songwriter Jamie O’Neal, Jimmy Murphy and Lisa Drew (There Is No Arizona), Butterfly is currently climbing the Music Row charts. Country radio listeners can also take a walk with Lizzie in a Winter Wonderland this holiday season.
Lizzie’s luminescent lyrics and infectious spirit has donned stages before a variety of audiences, including malls, rodeos, corporate conventions, charities, hospitals, county fairs and even headlined showcases during NYC fashion week. She has also hosted two episodes of Breaking Out, TCN’s show highlighting up-and-coming country artists. Her debut EP includes co-writes with the aforementioned Jamie O’Neal and Jimmy Murphy alongside Liz Rose (Teardrops on My Guitar, Tim McGraw, White Horse), Keith Follese (The Way You Love Me-Faith Hill, I Love You-Martina McBride) and Adrienne Follese (A Good Man, I Love You-Martina McBride).
