“CRY TO THE BLIND”, ROCK GROUP PAYS TRIBUTE TO SANDY HOOK

The song “Night Light” was born one evening while Cry to the Blind artist, Jon Lamanna was rocking his daughter to sleep. The lyrics magically came to him as he thought about how much he loved his daughter, and how no matter how hard life gets, she will be always be his own personal inspiration to forge ahead and be his “Night Light” helping him through the darkness and struggles that many of us surely might face. The song is a promise of unconditional love to children, and a promise that we will guide them through the good and bad, always being there to encourage them through every struggle they endure. “Night light” also serves as a reminder to all parents that children are a gift that we must cherish forever; never taking for granted the time we have with them when they are young, because it goes by so very fast.

The band had just finished mixing the final pieces of the track (including the children’s voices you hear, which are all children of the band members) when the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy struck. The band and their management, like so many others, were so deeply moved by this horrific tragedy.  Immediately, the decision was made to release this inspiring song now, rather than waiting to release it as part of an upcoming acoustic album later this year that Cry to the Blind in process of finishing.  With 100% of all proceeds being pledged to charity, the song is now for sale:

Additionally, working tirelessly since the tragedy occurred, Cry to the Blind created a moving video tribute to all those children and adults who lost their lives.

Said Joe Palmeroni, of Hard Pressed Management (Cry to the Blind’s management group), “we just all felt that the song might help ease a little pain and raise some money for a good cause.”
