GWEN Alert Now Available!

(GWEN) Global Women’s Empowerment Network’s New Life Saving App

GWEN’s new emergency app focuses on campus safety and women in domestic violence situations.

It’s here and it’s FREE! Download the GWEN Alert safety app today at the Apple Store or Google Play.

The GWEN Alert app gives you peace of mind and immediate assistance at the touch of a button. This single app integrates powerful mobile technologies and provides an instant connection to multi-levels of support during times of need.

Set-up is super easy. Simply enter contact information for your GWEN 5 – five trusted people from your personal network. Then, these individuals will be alerted when you are in danger and trigger the app. They instantly receive a pre-set text message from you stating, “I am in trouble – I need your help!” The app also provides your GPS coordinates, continually tracks your location, and captures audio and video of your surroundings. Plus, you have the ability to speed dial 911, should you need to escalate a rescue response.

In addition to launching our powerful safety app,  the Global Women’s Empowerment Network (GWEN) continues ongoing efforts to drive positive change. Utilizing the power of technology and multimedia, we enable people to share their stories and transform lives. Here is a sneak peek at some of our recent activities:

  • GWEN continues to shed light (literally) on America’s homeless epidemic through our partnership with The Wayfayer Foundation and MPOWERD, a New York-based solar-powered lantern manufacture.

This past January, as part of “GWEN Lights Up Skid Row,” we distributed 2,500 lanterns to individuals who are living on the streets of Los Angeles. Earlier this month, we provided lanterns to homeless individuals in New York City. In the months ahead, we’re looking to expand our homeless initiatives in other markets across the country.

  • “Homeless to the White House” – my Amazon Best Seller memoir – soon will be available as an audiobook. Plus, we’re currently investigating options for making it available in Braille format as well.
  • Our website – GWEN.global – has been revamped with a new brand look and tons of new information about our non-profit efforts and the resources available through our for-profit operations at GWEN Studios. Please visit the site and learn more about our organization, our people, our partners and our work.

In unity,

Tess Cacciatore
